Julie Frampton studied at West Surrey College of arts where she gained an honours degree in fine art. After leaving college she taught painting and drawing at various education centres in Kent and Suffolk. Since the mid-eighties she has been a restorer of 17th, 18th and 19th century oil paintings. Over these years she continued to work on her own paintings, although she rarely exhibited them. However over the last three years, interest in them has increased and they have appeared in exhibitions at: The Mall Galleries London Magnolia Gallery Guernsey The Spa Gallery Tunbridge Wells Antiquarius Kings Road Chelsea And now with us at world-arts.co.uk The subject of her paintings is usually the nude although recently she has returned to the still-life theme that she worked on in her earlier years as a painter. Her intension is to make the subject of the painting like a ripple or vibration in the reflection of the surrounding light.
